Starting solids at what age

What age did you start solids at? Did you wait til 6 months? Did you start a bit early. Here’s my issue: I go back to work a few days before she is officially six months. I really didn’t want the nanny to be introducing solids as to I wanted to be the one to experience that with her. It’s not so much about allerg...

Preschool or just Pre-K?

Hi all, trying to decide whether or not to enroll my three-year-old in preschool. We plan to send him to pre-K, but we weren’t sure if preschool is also just as important prior to pre-K. We have a nanny share now so we don’t want to break a good thing unless it’s really important. Anyone else been through similar th...

For those who’s babies don’t eat much (not just a phase)

For those who’s LO have never eaten much, I’m not talking about LOs who may go off their food during sickness / teething etc… I mean, never been big on food. A few spoonfuls a meal is a success sort of thing What are you planning to do / doing about it? Is it a case of trusting the process and that they may just b...

I went to my health visitor drop in on Tuesday and we got to talking about dairy intolerance and food etc. She told me apparently I could get food on prescription for my 10 months old... I thought this was a little weird and I explained I am currently on maternity pay so I don't qualify for the h...

Self feeding

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on how to start letting a baby feed themselves? My baby is 8 months and has no interest in doing it herself. She just uses the spoon as a drumstick and was never one to put things in her mouth so she just plays with her banana puffs and throws them on the floor🤣

Anyone else’s 4.5 month old just… angry?

My boy is 4.5 month and has generally not been too “difficult” of a baby.. he hit the 4 month regression around 3ish months so night time sleep got worse, but he never had too bad of a witching hour or anything like that as a newborn. However in the last 2 weeks, it feels like he is just mad all the time. Anything I...

On the edge rant

I haven't showered in over a week, since my baby was born (over 7 weeks ago) I've showered a total of 4 times, and my laundry has been done once. I feel like I can't get a shower without making sure my partner will be okay with the baby for 10mins. I'm not sleeping because I'm in pain or because my partner oversleep...

Arguing more since becoming parents

It’s been so hard being a new mum and fighting with my husband so much recently! He says very hurtful things and over reacts! He does not want to spend time with me and baby and prefers to go out with his friends on the weekends! He apologises sometimes but will not let me explain how his very hurtful words upset me...
