Hi all! I’m starting my first IVF cycle this week but we have a trip planned as we had already moved it so wouldn’t interfere with the cycle and then of course my period didn’t start when I originally thought it would. Has anyone traveled while doing injections? Any tips or advice?

Has anyone been told they are high risk due to their age (39) and conceiving via IVF? I have been told this today and can’t find any evidence to support it.

If you have an IUD do you still have to use the pull-out method as well to completely prevent pregnancy? I’m currently on the pill and use the pull out method as an added layer of protection is the IUD the same? Or am I just being extra?

We are self funding and obviously we’d love it to work first time but I’m trying to prepare myself in case it doesn’t. If we end up with multiple fertilised eggs that get frozen and used for the second cycle what is that called. I’ve looked at the price list and feel like this would be it but I’m not entirely sure.

Anyone have any success with IUI? My insurance company is requiring 6 rounds of it before they will approve IVF. I personally don’t know a single person who has successfully conceived with IUI so I feel like it’s a waste of time.
