Is my thinking valid?

I have 2 kids right now. I am 23 (will be 24 this year) and my husband is 23 (he will be 24 in May this year). 1st-girl 2 years old 2nd- also girl 9 months old Me and my husband eventually want 4 kids. I want to wait about 2 more years or so before having any more right though. After we have 4 kids I want a hysterectomy. I have thought about this for a while and this is fully my choice, my husband has no say in this. Am I thinking to rash about this. I don't like any form of birth control and I also don't want any. I don't want to just tie my tubes ether. I want to have absolutely no cance of any more kids. Also cancer in the area has been documented in my family as well, this is only one small factor for this decision.

I think it’s completely valid. I’m 25 and have two children almost 3 & 1. We now don’t plan on having anymore, I don’t like the side affects birth control has previously had on me. I would 100% have a hysterectomy tomorrow if I could! I have thyroid problems so I’ve got to be careful about drastic hormone changes. As long as you do your research into the hormonal changes you will have and are happy with everything and can find a specialist who is able to guide you 100% do what you feel is right xx

If it is 100% what you want then I say just go for it, but make sure you do your research! It’s not as if you can ever reverse a hysterectomy.. I would be thinking about the future and the possibility of one day wanting more children, what would you do then? Or are you absolutely certain that there is no way in hell you want more than 4? I think I would worry that I would change my mind, but everyone is different 🥰

I want exactly the same thing. Idk if it’ll be a hysterectomy but I don’t like birth control & I also don’t want anymore kids

Tbh I don’t think u should…. Have him get a vasectomy

I'd recommend getting ur tubes tied first that's reversible a hysterectomy is not you need to be absolutely certain thats what you want if you plan to go through with it heck I'd recommend talking to a therapist about it i would also talk to your husband you married him for a reason maybe the reason he wants to have more sooner is for your sake

Hey 👋 I just got my tubes removed and I think it was the best decision , I didn’t like using birth control either.

@Jade I only want 4 if I do get it done and we want more kids we can foster and adopt. I am adopted and I love the idea of doing the same for other kids.

That’s lovely, if you don’t worry about changing your mind then - your body, you choice 🤗
