My daughter has said quite a few things now 😮💨 I just don’t react to it or ask her what did she say and then she doesn’t tend to repeat it again. I suppose it depends how old they are. They might not understand it’s grown up words if they are young.
When my LG did this, (which I really had to stop myself from laughing)...I corrected her and said that she was saying the word wrong, and that it should be flipping... (Controversial I know) But honestly, I then didn't need to react when she said it again, and she quickly stopped saying it ! I'm waiting for when she starts saying the actual word again because this is life and it's bound to happen ...I will then probably explain a bit more x
We just explained to our kids about them being mean words. The only time they say it now is to tell us that we aren't supposed to say xyz or to tattle on their uncle cursing. They are 8 & 4. Worst thing they every actually say is calling each other a meanie sometimes
We found the more you react, the funnier they find it. It’s best to just ignore it, they soon get bored of saying it xx
My daughter has sworn, and we didn't make a big deal of it, we just said those words are only for adults and she never used them again.
When my daughter did this when she was a toddler I simply explained to her why we don’t say that word and why other people say it but shouldn’t. She never swore again. Shes 12 now though it’s a different story 🤣 but a simple explanation worked for us.
