Once you get your testing kit and your measuring your sugars, it then a bit trial and error. I seem to able to eat pasta fine, but I can’t even look at a potato or bread. Fruit is also a big issue for me
@Naomi lucky you, at the moment my readings are all over the place, I think being so stressed is contributing to it
It’s taken me 6 weeks to get on the right medication, it just takes time.
@Naomi I only have 9 and a half weeks left as I’m 31 weeks! Hope it doesn’t take 6 weeks! 😂😂 thank you for all your advice!
I had it with my first just jumping on here and saying a walk after a meal did wonders to keep my sugars down!
Gestational Diabetes Uk have a Facebook group and website which were very useful. The most important thing is to eat little and often, if you don’t eat for a long period of time your body releases glucose into your bloodstream and your blood sugar spikes
