@Hannah such long naps 😻 do you settle your little one in cot drowsy ?x
They honestly will do things so different with another person! My boys routine there and here is SO different I wouldn’t stress too much on the self soothing of course the breastfeeding is different x
My little girl has 2-3 naps per day, usually 30 mins each. She has a breastfeed before each nap but doesn’t feed to sleep - usually do a feed then read a book before settling down to sleep. She has a floor bed so I lie beside her until she’s asleep then roll away.
@Hannah this is pretty much the same as us apart from we do bottle and only an hours nap in the afternoon 🥰
@Elena THIS! My eldest was a complete boob monster but she went to nursery at 1 and also my parents looked after her and they got her to settle in different ways. I carried on feeding her to sleep when I was with her. You don’t need to stop feeding to sleep because of childcare!
I pop him down awake in his cot and he goes to sleep himself. I aim for 2.5/3 hours of naps each day but it doesn’t always work out that way but he does average 2.5 hours. We are only on week 3 of moving to 2 naps so at the moment if he has a short nap in the morning <50 mins then I often will contact nap him to extend it but in the afternoon I don’t as long as he’s had enough sleep for the day. I’ll probably stop doing the contact nap extending soon as I think he’s settled into 2 naps now but I did it to begin with to help the transition from 3 naps x
@Lauren my boy goes down well for me but he does have a little winge and moan but for her he goes down without a sound, she also gets him down at 9:30 there is no way he would do that for me earliest I can get him down is 10:30 😂 it’s so weird how they’re so different for others and just fit in with them x
My baby is still having 3 naps most days. Sometimes he’ll have 2, it just depends how long his first nap was.
@Elena honestly I was shocked when I found out my then 2 year old was going to sleep by herself on a mat on the floor at nursery when at home she had to have the curtains and blinds shut, brown noise and be cuddled or stroked to sleep for half an hour 🤣 they really just get on with it when you’re not an option! X
Although just working on changing the 4pm feed to a bottle with mixed success 🤞🤞
