No nap transition

Any other toddler transitioned to no nap recently? If so how is the schedule on a day to day basis? How long are your toddlers sleeping over night?

🙋🏽‍♀️😩😩😩😩😩 we get lucky if she take 1 nap but we’re no longer shocked when it’s 0. She goes to bed pretty early when she doesn’t have a nap and sleeps right through until 7:30 am.

We still have nap time but no nap so like quiet time in their room

My three year old for some time now has not taken naps. It has always been extremely difficult to get her to take one. We have to put her in the car and drive her around or let her play before she will take one.

@Tiara I’m right there with you. All week it’s a struggle to get him to nap. I still try pretty much everyday but damn near lose my sanity during the process. What time does your little one go to bed? Mine still will do split nights even without a nap. It seems like the longest he can stay awake with no nap is around 10.5//11 hours

@Ke'Love yeah I heard around 3- it’s normal for them to not take one half the time. I’m not looking forward to that age. My toddler will be 2 next month and I’m in absolute denial that he is already there with no naps😩 now I can’t shower until after bedtime

@LyI usually put her to bed around 9 PM. Sometimes she has actually been going to sleep immediately when she lays down some days though she has taken a late late nap like 5 or 6 PM starting out and not waking up till 8-9pm like the other day and it took forever to go to the back to sleep she didn’t go to sleep till like 1 AM I drove her around in the car for an hour ended up laying with her in the bed and pulling her bonnet down over her eyes like an eye mask and she out like a light other days it’s 1030 PM so just depends

@Ly She finally crashes out around 6PM then sleeps straight through. If we get nap during the day she goes to bed around 8 PM.

My girl is 2 on 3/31 and started refusing her nap around 19 months. Since then when she’s at daycare she will nap sometimes 2.5 hours sometimes 30 minutes. With me, she will nap for 30mins-1.5 hrs. When she gets a nap she doesn’t go down for bedtime until like 9:30/10pm after fighting it for at least an hour which is not fun for me. No nap and she can pass out by 7:30 and that’s my best nights 😂 I don’t know how to stabilize her sleep I’ve just surrendered to her sleep patterns at this point and I don’t stress about naps

@Serena I hear you! I just know my son and I know he’s incapable of regulating himself when he doesn’t nap. Last night I got lucky with him going straight to bed at night without a nap. Tonight was a different story. Once it’s bedtime he starts acting delusional and keeps crying. I know it’s bc he is overtired and doesn’t know what he wants. It took me almost 1.5 hours of him fighting me tonight until he finally passed out.😵 yeah I’m right there with you. I have no idea how to stabilize his sleep at this point. Maybe it’s the early 2 year old sleep regression?! Idk I’m praying for us🫤

@Tiara that’s amazing that she sleeps straight through. My son will not…he will be up around 3am for 2/3 hours😩

@Ly it could def be the 2 year regression! I totally get him not being able to regulate himself.. my girl just loves to party so she typically does ok without a nap. I just hope I can figure it out soon because I have another due in July and I cannot do the 1 hour fights on a nightly basis it’s just so hard. I also wonder if I did this because I nursed to her to sleep for like 18 months and this regression hit once I weaned her. 🤷‍♀️ all I know is it won’t be like this forever and that gets me through until it does get better 😩

@Serena congratulations on baby #2! ❤️ Yes trust that it will get better! As they grow into their independence and can follow rules better, they will understand what “bedtime” is 😅 Do you try to give her milk in a bottle or sip cup before bed in replacement of breast feeding? My son still gets a milk bottle before bed and that usually helps on a normal day.

My daughter has decided to not take naps. If we do shopping trips in the middle of the day she sleeps in the car but other than that, she has to be extremely drained in order to take a nap. And I do allow her to have a formal nap, she won’t go to bed at night… so there’s that. (I miss being able to take a nap while the babies are sleep 🥲😂)

@Ly thank you!! I hope they do start to understand! She never took whole milk once I weaned her and honestly never drank out of a bottle except at daycare when she was away from me (I always nursed, I just preferred it that way bc I hated pumping lol) so no, she doesn’t drink anything before bed aside from water if she asks 🤷‍♀️

@Bria every month I swear they grow and change into something completely different 😂 I’m right there with you, I need that nap break so I can either lay my head down or get in the shower 😅
