@Melanie I'm wondering if the point of this post is that "hitting your child is wrong no matter where you do it or what you call it"
@Raqi aaahhh that would make sense. It definitely confused my brain cells
If you replace the words “your child” with “your coworker” and the answer is no, then you have your answer.
@Melanie sorry, I used the words that the other person whom I disagreed with used. It confused my braincells too and I should’ve used different wording 😅
@Genevieve that was my argument too so I agree. But they said that since you’re the parent then it’s just disciplining them.. 💀
Well, that's disturbing...
I’m sure there’s a cps worker checking all this stuff out. lol
spank on the face? so slapping? well slapping an adult is never okay so a child shouldn’t be the exception.
Spank on the face is a creative justification of slapping your child
3% said yes. Are yall ok?
I smacked my mother across the face the night of my prom 🤷🏼♀️😂 I wouldn’t smack my son
sounds like the same person who said “if they hit they get hit back” about her kid… like yeah fight your child that’s a great idea
🙄. That's considered slapping, which is abuse.
@Genevieve I wouldn't wipe my co-workers bum but it's okay with my child. I wouldn't tell my coworker to stop licking the outlet either (well hopefully I wouldn't need to) or else they'd need discipline. And then they do it again and again and again and just give zero effs so what do you do? What would make them stop?

@Sharaya I meant replace the words in that sentence specifically. Also, there is no justification for hitting a child. As the parent, you ensure the space is safe, supervise, and redirect when needed.
Spank on the face? 🤔 Either way, no
