I've had this problem with both children. With my first it was solved when we started settling her in her crib just before she turned 5 months, totally solved them. This October baby already self-settles so no idea what is causing it. Wake windows were spot on for both. I wonder if October baby is in the midst of the 4-3 nap transition, he's outgrown 4 nap wake windows but gets overtired with 3 nap days. My first was already on 3 naps by the time she self-settled so maybe that's why the false starts stopped instantly for her 🤷🏽♀️ Sometimes October baby won't have false starts but I can't figure out why. I read if they are within 30 minutes of falling asleep baby was undertired, over 45 they were overtired. Mine are usually between that so it doesn't help me but might help you 😂
I agree with Ceri-Ann, I don’t use wake windows or the app I just go by when my baby is showing signs xx
We are in the same boat. We’ve also tried ruling out under or overtired. I wonder if it’s the regression as his long naps have disappeared too so maybe he’s just overtired all day due to short naps
Same here - she will crash about 6:30 then wide awake 40 minutes later then takes another good hour till she's down for the night again x
@jade this is quite normal. Babies at this age very rarely need a 6.30 bed time. Most have a much later (around 9/10pm) last feed and bed If this is list nights this is your baby setting their own routine
Ditch the app and learn your baby. I see so much about wake windows and false starts. If they’re not falling asleep properly they’re not tired enough. Babies will naturally fall into their own sleep/wake routines if you let them
