Cranky baby

My almost 5 month old has had a total personality flip. She’s super cranky all the time and goes from 0 to 100 with the crying. She’s showing no signs of hunger or tiredness but when she’s ready to go to sleep she takes the place down screaming until she finally falls asleep. She used to be such a happy, content baby and now she is really hard to manage. Has anyone else had this?

I had this at month 4 for a few weeks. Was an absolute nightmare. He's slightly calmed down now but still not what he was before. I think it's because he's become so much more aware now. But yeah feels like a different baby. Needs literally constant stimulation and being walked around all the time. I find getting out of the house for most of the day is easiest as otherwise he's just so difficult. I think it is slowly improving he turns 5 months tomorrow

Could she be teething? My LO is like crazy and it makes him so unhappy. I agree with Sofi that being out of the house makes it much better, he seems to be ok with the distraction.

Im in exactly same position. Everyone constantly told me how chill and contented she was. And now she does flip to really intense crying or general fuzziness. I’m sure it’s teeth as it just keeps ramping up. I’ve been using calpol / ibroiphen and teething gels over past two days as it seems to give her some rest bite. Plus being outside in the day for the distraction. X

My baby is 5 months next week and is exactly the same! He was an absolute angel and sooo easy until the last week and now he goes from smiling to screaming the house down! And every evening gets hysterical before he’ll go to sleep 😫 also becoming sooo clingy all of a sudden!
