Advice - ICP

Hi girls. I’ve been diagnosed with Intrahepatic cholestasis at 37 weeks. I’ve been prescribed ursofalk on 750mg per day. This is my second pregnancy, had no issues on my first. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this, my stomach and feet are out in a rash. Of course I searched symptoms and risks online to which I found there can be a risk of stillbirth if levels are at a high risk. I’ve yet to find out what my levels are I’m trying to get through to my midwife. Just looking to see if anyone else has experience with this or can give me some knowledge on it.

I have been diagnosed but this is something that I’ve been researching because this week my skin appears yellow especially on my face. Do you have a lot of itching with the rash? X

*Not

I got diagnosed with this in my last pregnancy at 37 weeks mine started in a rash on my tummy and legs and the itching was unbearable however I hadn’t heard of it so assumed it was all pregnancy itching and I was already diagnosed with pupps which is the rash. when I got tested my levels were really high and I was induced at 39 weeks. I wasn’t offered any medication as my levels were already too high for it to work. If levels are high they tend to want to deliver early but depending on the levels. I was monitored for the two weeks in between being diagnosed and being induced and as soon as I had my lg the itching stopped instantly and the rash just went pretty much straight away. The major risks that comes with it are usually more common if you are diagnosed early pregnancy rather than the later stages as that’s what I was told. It’s not nice mind I couldn’t stand the itching, I had never experienced anything like it. I hope you get sorted and get some answers xx

Thank you so much for the reassurance x
