I thought midwives were like walk in clinics? We have to register?
Hi Patricia if you are hoping for a midwife in order to have a home birth you can also look into the freebirth society registry many birth workers were midwives and some have chosen to work out side the system to be able to give more personalized care. I’ve had two homebirth and chose to become my own birthkeeper through research and study through Freebirth Society as well. Not trying to be your guide but both kids have been healthy and thriving since birth and I have another on the way I’m excited to birth at home. You have options is what I’m really trying to say. I chose a midwife service the first time and the main woman treated me was as if I had no knowledge or choice with things. So make sure you always ask lots of questions and ask about your options. And if you don’t like your midwife you can ALWAYS fire her so to speak and ask for another one. You want to have a good relationship so your choices are well understood and won’t just be overridden by someone else’s desires. ❤️
Good luck on your search love, may you find everything You desire for your pregnancy and birth and god bless you!
