Contact naps

Any tips on how to stop the contact napping? It started at 7 weeks where she won't sleep during the day unless it is a contact nap, but is fine at night...

Would love to hear answers to this as in the exact same position where he will only contact nap in day, but sleeps fine in next to me at night

The same here, please someone tell me how to phase it out

Same here, contact naps in the day but is fine at night in his next to me! The other morning I thought I would risk putting him down in his basket and see what happens and I was shocked he settled himself to sleep! I tried it again today but no luck 😅 think I have to get him just at the right time of tiredness. I sort of accepted the contact naps now but am wondering how and when it will stop or get phased out?! Like how will he nap in the future?

Same here, maybe it’s because they’re not as tired in the day so more aware of what’s going on? I literally go for walks with her in pram even if I’m shattered, just so she will sleep somewhere but my arms during the day 🤣

Thought I was the only one! She sleeps a dream at night, but during the day contacts naps, I may get lucky and put her down but it’ll be for 10-15 mins and then she’s awake and grumpy. I don’t like to complain because I get sleep at night but I would like to eat or shower or something 🤦🏼‍♀️

My little one started doing this in the daytime when falling asleep over my shoulder/chest- my mums tip was to wrap a blanket around his back whilst holding him, then lay him in his basket and use the rest of the blanket to swaddle across his front and tuck it into the side under mattress! This way he stay asleep as doesn’t realise he’s not in my arms 🤞just sharing as it’s something that worked for us I appreciate it might not for everyone! X
