Night feeds

At what point do you not bother waking your little one for a night feed? My 10 week old still hasn’t inclined she’s ready for food and her last feed was 22.00pm. I’m walking up to check more than she is waking me up! Normally she wakes around 2.30 and has around 2 ounces (we think this was for comfort more than anything) Is this the start of her sleeping through the night?!? 🥺

When the doctor clears it or baby is steadily gaining weight.

usually after they pass their birth weight, you can stop waking to feed. i stopped waking mine around 3 weeks but he still woke every few hours.

@Grayson @Keisha she is past her birth weight and then some now. So I’ll stop panicking she’s sleeping through and just enjoy it whilst it lasts 😳😩

@Savannah yes! enjoy that extra sleep friend! ☺️

Yes! Sleep!

if she’s gaining weight and isn’t waking up to feed them i’d let her sleep. i never woke mine up to feed or did the eat every 2-3 hours thing. we feed on demand and have gotten amazing sleep because of it. he’s 11 weeks and wakes up twice in a 14 hour period to eat. obviously not everyone can that but if she’s healthy there’s no reason to wake her, enjoy the sleep

My son I had to wake to feed cause he was a preemie came home as a 3 month old weighing 5lbs. My daughter I never woke her, she woke up herself in the hospital and she was back to birthday before we left the hospital 2 days later. I breastfed both.
