We have bops. Where the kid falls down many times a day. Doesn't really get hurt just looks at us and says "bop".
@Rebekah yea same with my kids but my Husband says they should never get hurt at all.. I’ve literally watched my kids trip and fall over their feet… lol like idk 🤷🏻♀️ I used to get hurt as a kid and I personally think it’s part of life but it’s always a huge argument even if they fall under his watch
I’m sorry it turns into an argument! How does he expect them to learn without falling/tripping/making mistakes etc? Mistakes = learning
@Sarah I tried to tell him that exact point but he insists that they should never get hurt and he would fire me if I was a nanny or a baby sitter ect. My kids are 2 and 1. There is only so much I can do besides bubble wrap my kids lol 😂
Tell him if he keeps thinking this way, they could have anxiety later in life. Also he’d have to quit his job to stay home with the kids because no nanny can prevent them from being hurt. Good luck!! Keep doing what you’re doing!
It depends! Some days she'll face plant from crawling too fast 3 times a day, other days it could be a dog bumping into her, or some days she goes without hurting herself! It's very normal and impossible to prevent them from hurting themselves! I never worry since she calms down after a minute or so!
@Sarah oh he stays home that’s the prob. He makes enough to stay home but he doesn’t physically help with the kids… just sits on the couch while I do everything…. He has the belief that since I’m a mom I do everything
I have a boy and he’s a bruiser lol Trips, falls, climbs, rough houses with me or my husband. Gets rug burn mostly He has only had 2 concerning incidents where I was contemplating an ER visit from the FTM guilt/anxiety
As a mama of 3 boys its a daily occurance in our house that someone gets hurt lol. Boys are rough especially with each other lol. Just part of life
I swear my son always has at least one bruise on his body somewhere 🫣 he is a climber with no regard for his personal safety. Plus he has a big head and constantly bumps it into things. Plus right now he's determined to learn how to summersault
My 2¾ year old always has bruises on her legs, she runs around & climbs like crazy
Depends on how you classify small ouchie. Daily he falls and says “ouwie” and sometimes cries and only needs a quick cuddle. I chosse several times a month though, as that’s about as frequent as he has little injuries (eg. scrape, bump on head) which need a plaster or cold pack.
