Baby needs close contact to sleep

Anyone else have a baby that needs physical contact to sleep? Other than in the car or pram all of his naps are contact naps. We do a bedtime routine and cuddle him to sleep before transferring him to his cot. Any night wakeups he needs stroking or cuddling to re-settle and usually ends up in us co-sleeping from the...

Split nights

Struggling with split nights! When baby boy is at home with us Friday - Monday, we can try to get him to have 2 short naps a day and he sleeps better. However, when he’s in childcare midweek he only has 1 nap. He’ll then treat bedtime as a nap and we have a 3-4 hour wake window in the night 💀 I’ve tried giving him…

Nap transitions 2-1

Looking for some advice with nap transitions. Is anyone else finding that their babies wake window has suddenly extended and they might be ready for 1 nap a day? How are your little ones finding it? I don’t know whether to consistently push 1 nap a day for my little one or keep it flexible day to day.

When did your little one start to sleep consistently/form a pattern?

My 10 week old won’t sleep for longer than an hour (on average) because she wakes up fussy or farting! We’re still doing shifts and I’m lucky if she gets a 20 minute nap in at times in the day.

Night times

My lb is 7months and sleeps an easy 3hrs when he first goes down around 7:30 and self settles for this pretty easy. He always wakes for a bottle around 10:30 - 11 I’m finding after this it’s so hard to get him to settle back in his cot! Just wakes constantly.. sometimes just after 10mins - maximum 1 hour and won’...

Sleeping positions

I’m really struggling to sleep at the moment because I’m so anxious about accidentally sleeping on my back. I’m 27w5d so almost at 28w and it just feels like this big looming date of when I’ll harm my baby if I’m on my back. I keep waking up and I’m on my back and I don’t know how to stop it happening as I’m natural...

Nap

Hello, at what time are your babies having their nap? I’m trying to drop to one nap because my baby is refusing his second nap or sleeping only for 30min and waking up at 5 am every day. I’m exhausted but I’m struggling with only one nap because he’s tired very early at around 9-10am so his last wake window would be...

Positivity needed

These past couple of weeks my lo has been waking up between 12 and 1 and stays up crying nonstop until I pick her up. I don’t know what to do to help her sleep. I’ve pushed her sleeping to at least 8-830 that way she sleeps longer but she still manages to wake back up. Last night was the only night she slept through...

Plane sleeping for toddler

We’re going on holiday in May when our LO will be 19 months. He doesn’t have a separate sleep but one flight is when he should be asleep. Are there any products that we can take that would make a bit of a bed? I’ve seen the ones that go on the seat but not when the seat is shared with an adult.

Refusing to sleep anywhere but on me!?

Feels like we’re back to the newborn stage! My 18 week old won’t sleep anywhere but on me! Not in the next to me, not in the bed beside me, only ON ME! I’m shattered, I feel like we’ve been dealing with terrible sleep for weeks now 😭

My partner and I do sleep shifts with baby, I get 10-4 and he does 4-10 which works really well for us at the moment with her being 3 weeks but want to start looking at how I can start moving so we’re all sleeping together but I just find it really hard trying to sleep when she grunts and cries in her sleep as it al...
