Postpartum bleeding

Hi everyone. It’s been 5 weeks I had my baby.. I have 2 kids. 1st one 2.5 years old and I had my first one via c-section and 2nd one via vaginal delivery with episiotomy.. I have questions .. after given birth my 2nd one 1st 4 weeks my bleeding was like one day spotting and one day heavy but not much heavy.. its was like period bleeding.. but from Last weeks I have very heavily bleeding and the colour of bleeding bright red.. is this normal or should I have to worry about it? Because when I had my 1st baby it didn’t happen anything like this. And one more question from last week I noticed one more thing when I go to toilet for wee I feel pain when passing urine in the vaginal area .. is this also normal .. pls anyone know about this let me know pls

Hey ! It could be something called lochia eschar which is not something worrying but you need to make sure it's not retained placenta which can be more serious. Do you have clots ? Anyway, I would suggest you to get checked, they might want to do a scan to make sure everything is clear. About your pain while passing urine, could you do a test for UTI ? Do you feel the pain in the perineum? Dm me if you need

No I don’t see any clots yet. I went gp last week and they refer me to gynaecologist but I still didn’t hear anything back from them and yeah I did uti test and the test results was normal.. dr said nothing worry about .. and I feel pain when passing urine it’s from mons pubis to perineum

Could it be you are having your period now? I am 6 weeks pp and having first period. I didn’t really get break in between postpartum bleeding and period.

Is it a pain that feels like it’s the stitches? You can always say you think your stitches are infected and a dr can check. Are you breastfeeding? Not always but typically if you are your period doesn’t begin quite that early. I’ve got a friend who had similar in that she recently just started bleeding heavier again after a while (she’s got a 10 week old and had a c section) and she was told about periods not starting back that soon if ebf. She had a scan which was all clear so I guess sometimes it does just happen but if you’re in pain then I’d push for something to be done x
