How to soothe a colicky baby? I've tried everything I can think of

I've tried a bath, baby massage, carrier, shushing, rocking, bum pats, back pats, skin to skin, white noise, pink noise, music, dark room, red light. Nothing works. Has anyone got any weird way they managed to soothe their colicky baby? We're currently going back and forth from the doctors to find the cause but in the meantime I just need to find a way to calm him down😭

Car rides?

Baby Chiro!! Burp more often during feeds can help as well.

I think for us it was just riding it out and with time it subsided, she's a very happy baby now, just be very gracious with yourself as its a hard time 💖

@Brooke he hates the car😭

@Samantha-Jo I might look into chiro, I pace feed him so he burps after every ounce as it is and then I keep him upright and rub his back for 20 minutes after each feed

I don’t know if you have a pregnancy ball but bouncing on that with the baby always used to work for me

@Molly I just hate him being so upset and not being able to help him, it makes me feel like such a failure

I noticed a difference when I started to use a probiotic. I use biogaia on my lo

Osteopath helped a lot, I also used to hold my baby facing away from me with her legs pulled up tightly into her tummy, putting her in the bath, laying her on my arm facing up and bouncing arm up and down. Put headphones in and music on if you’re over stimulated and getting stressed so you can hear the cry. My little one has CMPA and reflux so she used to cry a lot in pain none stop. It’s tough mama but it’s just a season it does get better. Ask for help where you can and make sure you’re taking care of you, you can’t pour from an empty cup x

That can be so exhausting! I know a lot of mamas that found Chiro to help a lot

Burping is the most important so try things which help them burp. Maybe do a few things together like baby massage, infacol drops, back pats, keeping baby upright for at least half an hour after a feed and usually by 3/4 months old they get better

If you are breastfeeding, be mindful that everything you eat also affects the baby, so it’s important to try to avoid gas causing foods such as milk, grains, broccoli, cauliflower, coleslaw, etc.
