Formula mommas

Has anyone had any experience with their LO eating more of one formula, and then not eating as much of another? We have even doing Enfamil since he was 5 days old, but recently there’s been a shortage near us so we had to switch to Similac temporarily. LO chugs the similac and wants 6-8 oz every feed, but the Enfamil satisfies him after 4 oz and he doesn’t want to eat as often. He definitely prefers the Enfamil but I’m wondering if it’s something to do with the formula or if my LO is just different 😂

Hey! I don’t know about changing formulas, BUT my girl also drinks that’s much with similac. My friend’s baby is a few weeks older and drinks way less, and she’s on Enfamil. I wonder if it does have to do with the formulas! Now I want to know why lol

My baby hatesss similac passionately and would cap out at an ounce and a half maybe two and he guzzles Kendamil now! Lol

Somali and enfamil also have differenc textures and weights to the formula! Maybe that has something to do with it

Similac* lmao

@Paris that’s so interesting, I’m gonna have to look into the calorie count and everything because I wanna know why now

@Bree we were not a fan of similac, it was so lumpy and if he didn’t finish in 5 minutes it got this like slimey texture, I’m never switching again I’ll make the drive to 8 different stores if I have to 😂

The smell of similac is also vile 😭

So with similac, both my LG’s ate more and enfamil my girls ate less. I don’t know. But I do know if your kiddo seems more satisfied with one over the other, go with that one. Just take into consideration the calories per oz that they’re consuming. Rule of thumb is 2.5 oz per every pound of weight.
