Nursing question?

For second time moms: my first baby nursed all the time. Nursed to sleep, nursed for comfort, boob monster. This baby now 3 months won’t nurse to sleep or for comfort, even when I know she’s hungry sometimes she’ll refuse to nurse. I’ll have to pump a little to get her content and then can try to nurse again. Anyone have luck getting their baby to nurse more or have less bottle preference? So different from my first I’m at a loss.

I ran into the same issue with 4 month old. He actually refuses to latch on, even with nipple shields. So I have to pump just to get him fed. His comfort is a paci and a blanket. My first born was a boob monster as well. I had to get him to use a pack as comfort because I didn't want him to struggle once I had returned to work.

Ugh, I just don’t want to have go to exclusive pumping. I loved breastfeeding my first and made it over two years and I just know if we got to exclusive pumping I won’t make it that same length.

@Maddy I feel you. I breast feeding my first born till he was almost 2 years old. I'm exclusively pumping now. But I also have a good stash in the freezer already. I feel like I might make it to a year.
