Weaning

My daughter is six months now and I’m thinking about weaning off a breast feeding and pumping altogether. What’s the right way to go about this?

Following! My baby girl is also 6 months and I have a whole freezer full of milk so I slowly want my milk supply to decrease. I still pump while at work but I’ve just decreased the time. Instead of pumping for 20 min, I reduced the time to 10-15min. Also, I also pump twice a day now instead of 4. When I come home from work, I will not pump for the rest of the day and just breastfeed

I slowly introduced formula Gave formula then next feed breastmilk then formula then next feed breastmilk N she was fine with both Then slowly didn’t even realise that there was no breastmilk She was also fuller on formula

The advice is not to wean until 12 months at the earliest. If you do want to stop breastfeeding , you would need to supplement with formula. Milk (ideally breast, otherwise formula) should be the main source of nutrition until 1 year
