Child invited to party that requires an adult for rides, who pays for the adult?

Id ask the host and if I had to pay we wouldn't go. Other option is if I did have to pay I would buy a much more affordable gift to offset the cost

The host should be paying for it all since they invited the family. If there is extra things you want to do then you can pay out your own pocket.

If the activity requires an adult to enter with the child and for that adult to pay then I think the host should pay that cost OR at the very least inform families that they'll need to purchase an adult ticket and how much that ticket is. If I was going to spend $25 on the gift but the ticket cost $15 and I'm required to pay for it, okay but then I'm now spending $10 on their gift.
