Normal symptoms?

I’m 31 + 1, keep getting really short of breath like I can’t take a deep enough breath with palpitations happening regularly (even when just sat watching tv etc, nothing exerting or strenuous) and my whole body feels really shaky and heavy. Not sure if I should contact assessment unit or if I’m overreacting ? Im drinking as much as I can to keep hydrated and eating little and often as in struggling with meals

Its definitely something I would consult my GP with, or the midwife / maternity unit if you think theyll be quicker. As long as baby is moving lots I am sure they are fine, but could be something a bit more concerning on your end

Please kindly ring in the triage cause of the breathing. Had something similar and later collapsed at home. Got to triage and it was actually serious. Just call in to confirm

I would definitely give them a call. I think if you’re even questioning whether you should call them means you probably should!

Check your hemoglobin when your iron levels are low it’s difficult to breathe this happened to me I was required to take iron infusions because my hemoglobin was 7.3

Please ring triage, shortness of breath when just sitting needs to be looked into. Are you experiencing any chest or upper back pain at the same time?

@Callie it seems to calm down then get bad again shortly after. I’ve had a bit of pain in my chest between my breasts but I’ve got heartburn so I put it down to this?

I had shortness of breath and chest/back pain (though mine was acute and extremely painful) and ended up in a&e. I don’t want to alarm you but it would probably be best to mention your symptoms to someone

Yes please ring triage just to be safe.
