Pregnant Gym Junkie

Anyone else on here in early pregnancy and still going to the gym for cardio and weight lifting every day? I need to find my people… this is my first pregnancy and I’ve changed my gym routine to be safer for the baby but I’d like to talk to other women who are doing this too so I can compare and contrast! 💕

I wish I could’ve! By week 6 I was so nauseous and light headed just by being alive I had to stop but I am 35 weeks now so I get to go back to my fav activity soon! 🤗

Not every day, but I am still doing Les Mils Body Pump and Barre classes a few times a week. I just avoid anything that involves lying flat on my back (I’m 26 weeks). So, instead of bench press, I use the seated chest press machine, for example.

@Miko okay yeah so I’m in week 4. So far I’m just experiencing a distaste for strong smells, elevated emotional reactions, and painful acne all over my face and chest… I know the nausea is coming soon but I’m hoping my protein snacks and workouts will help deter it! 🥴

@Ashley are you still able to go into a deep squat?

@Carolyn I can still get thighs parallel to floor, but I have reduced my weight a bit compared to pre-pregnancy

Definitely in more of a maintenance mode rather than going for any gains

Yesss I am 22 weeks and still hitting gym and lifting weights in a safe way. Feeling better than ever!
