Boiling water on flight for formula

Hey Mamas We are flying tomorrow morning, and I'm just wondering if you're allowed to take a flask of boiling water through security for baby's bottles?? I've got boiled cooled water prepared, but i need some boiling for a hot shot. Plus, we are flying about 10 hours, so we need a whole flask worth I reckon. Will they allow this, or shall I just take the flask empty and ask for boiling water at a cafe in the terminal?? TIA xx

Hey, I checked online for you (and asked chat gpt😂😂) , it says “You can take a flask of boiling water through security, but it will be subject to additional screening. UK airports typically allow you to bring as much baby-related liquids as needed, including sterilised water, milk, and food, even if it exceeds the usual 100ml liquid limit. To avoid issues, you could bring the flask empty and ask a café or airline staff to fill it for you after security. Most airports and airlines are happy to provide boiling water for baby bottles. It might also be helpful to carry pre-measured formula powder separately so you can make bottles as needed.”

Haha you're amazing thank you so much!! I googled it myself but found conflicting info so this was super helpful thank you!! Appreciate you xxx

I took boiled water through and loads of baby food took a little longer due to screening but all was ok

I took a 1L flask through with no problems x
