Yes we burp him and do a few leg wiggles to try and get things moving the other end too 🤞 Thinking about it he's mostly breastfed through the night too so maybe it's not related to formula and is just a night thing? Will give the Infacol a go anyway. Just hate to think he's uncomfortable 😥 xx
I know it's difficult. My little one is 4 weeks tomorrow, and last week has been struggling with trapped wind, etc. so we have been in the same position ive been trying everything to get him to either burp or poo lol
Our boy grunts a lot too and I took a video to show Dr but they said its normal. He's breastfed. I tried infacol and it helped him get his burps up better but he still make a heck of a noise when he's sleeping at night. I can sleep better through it now that the Dr told me it's okay.
@Erin, yeah, my boy makes so much noise. I will even let out a cry sometimes, but this is my 3rd child, and im so used to it now. When my 1st was born I was awake all the time watching to see if they ok haha
Thanks both, I've had a read about that active sleeping and it does seem like that! He's snoozing on my chest now and is perfectly quiet.. typical!! Yep he's my first Natalie. Even if he's too quiet I'm like 👀 xx
Haha the only place my boy sleeps quietly is also when lying on his tummy on my chest 😅
Infacol is a godsend! Really helps my 3 week old with wind trouble she was struggling all though her sleep; much better now
I have been using Infacol for the same reasons too but found my little one has been spitting up milk after most feeds since we’ve been using it. Has anyone else found this? I have just ordered the kendamil comfort drops after reading some good reviews. Had anyone tried them?
Yes @Kiran ours has started spitting up since we began using it
I tried Infacol but I don’t think it made much difference so someone recommend BioGaia which is a probiotic and it has helped so much! I give him 5 drops every evening and he is burping so much better and is squirming and grunting less.
@Erin oh no! I definitely think it’s because of the Infacol. @Uzma I think the kendamil drops sound like the same thing as the BioGaia. Planning to use them tomorrow for his first morning feed so hoping it works 🤞🏻
There's no harm in trying. I've been using infacol, and dentinox both work well. Do you burp him well before putting him down. I always try to make sure I keep my little one upright for a bit before sleeping. I also think them moving and making noises can be normal its called active sleeping.
