Hipp formula

Hello i have a issue with my formula i hope someone can help me, so on the hipp formula it says to give 5 oz (150 ml) from 2 months but my 7 week old baby looks more hungry than usual and on the Internet it says to give it but my health visitor said to wait but she's just hungry all the time what do you think i should do she's been like that for 2 weeks

You know your own baby better than anyone, trust your gut. If you think she’s hungry offer her more ❤️

What's printed on tins are just guidelines, every baby is different, if they are still hungry or finishing the bottle I'd go you an Oz or 2

Exactly what Kath has said, it’s just a guideline! If they’re finishing the bottle every feed then up it by an ounce. Love Hipp formula btw, mine is on this after suspected CMPA and it helped x

@Kath i mean that's the thing I'm not sure because she doesn't finishes it all but she wants to eat more often

My 5 week old has been on 5oz bottles (we use Hipp too) for the last 3 weeks as he’s a hungry boy. The doctor told me he should be only having 4oz but he’s so much more settled and content having 5oz. Hope that helps.

@Nicola yes I'll start her on 5 oz thank u❣️

Even if you make for example, a 6oz bottle. They may take 4/4 and a bit. It half hour later they may want another ounce or two. That’s okay! I always make 7oz (my boys 7m) and most of the time he takes 6 but sometimes he’s still a bit hungry about half hour later and he will take the left over 1 and be happy. As people have said, you know your baby! My HV and midwife of my first baby always told me this and that if they’re want it they will take it, if they don’t they will push their tongue out or turn away x

It could just be a growth spurt so feeding more, but making a bigger bottle won't hurt
