How many bottles

2, morning and before bed xx

Mine has 4. He was on 5 bottles about 4 months ago. Our HV told us 4 bottles by the age of 1 is the goal. All HV's seem to do things their own way....we are currently putting a bit of cows milk in with his formula 🙂 x

@Tara thank you 🤩 glad to know not just us, my baby has a cow milk protein allergy so is on special formula and I’ve tried to do oat milk oz at a time but he’s not interested 🙄😢xx

2 morning and bedtime. We dropped pretty early as he had to stop milk for a week with being poorly and didn’t want it anyway and jsut wanted food

Dropped from 4 to 3. He takes a bottle an hour before his meal

Mine still on 4 bottles a day to xx

My daughter has 5oz x5 bottles Slowly introducing cows milk now

3, but the third bottle is very small now. My little one is 1 next week and morning and middle of the day (small bottle) is cows milk. Formula before bed, but changing that next week. It does depend on how much she has eaten though. If my little girl is ill she eats less and has more milk, so it depends

My little girl is only on 1 which is her bedtime bottle of 9oz , she only took 3 bottles a day for the past couple of months then the afternoon one fizzled out so I just dropped her breakfast and instead we have weetabix or museli ( somthing with cows milk instead ) and it fills her up great .

@Jasmine I'm sure he will drop a bottle when he's ready! 😊 I learnt the second time around not to compare my baby with others. I know its easier said than done but your LO WILL eventually move onto the next stage eventually 😃 xx

@Jasmine have you tried mixing the oat milk in with the formula? Then gradually increase the ratio of oat milk to formula. I'm doing cows milk, but she wouldn't just suddenly swap to drinking it straight. Did the same with my first, and by the end of the transition she was drinking cows milk on its own fine.

@Jess yeah I’ve tried it so many times and he won’t drink more than an oz of milk when I’ve added oat milk xx

Just on cows milk now so give 4 oz in morning and 8 before bed but going to offer cup in the morning soon then before bed when he gets used to that x

We are down to 1 at bed time only, my little boy stopped taking them during the day xx

I cut down to 3 bottles yesterday and little man was up in the night crying so much had to give him 2 bottles during the night and he hasn’t night fed for 5 months now xxx

😞 could you try gradually reducing the amount of one / all of them, rather than dropping completely? Are you giving an extra snack too?

@Jess yeah he has 2 snacks a day and 3 big meals ( with snacks after his meal too) he eats so much xx

@Jasmine I meant gradually reduce the amount of the milk e.g. do 5oz to start rather than 6oz.

My daughter has just turned 1 and she has one before bed and sometimes 1 during the night. She has water throughout the day. Although occasionally she likes milk with her breakfast
