Hi, no I’ve not been here so can’t help but I’ve heard that if your baby doesn’t take to milk much, you can then start weaning them at 4 month. I think my health visitor told me this x
@Nicole we’ve tried so many different milks, now being treated for a potential CMPA so that’s another one to add to the list!
I hope things improve for you soon I can't begin to imagine how stressful it must be for you.
Same here !! Mine even drops feeding sometimes. I have been on hipp organic for his reflux. Not sure if I should change to Aptamil or something
Same! I’m sorry I don’t know what to suggest either. We had to be careful as we were creating a food aversion by pressuring her to drink more than she wanted. Nearly 12 weeks and doesn’t always take 4oz, 4oz is a good feed for her but she hardly ever drinks that much. Having to record how much she has and still feeding in the night just to make sure she’s having enough. She has silent reflux and has been on omeprazole from being 2 week old but she still struggles feeding. She’s been on a CMPA formula since a week old as she was writhing in pain when feeding, we are just transitioning her over to aptamil now as the hospital don’t think it’s an allergy. So my hope was that she would prefer the formula. Hope your little one starts to drink more for you as I know how stressful it is x
@Jenny this is exactly the same as us, the bottle aversion thing is SO hard to manage. Just having to accept when they push away the bottle and not force it, even though you know they haven’t had enough is one of the most difficult parts of this baby life. I really hope you guys get the answers you need too 🤍
My baby girl is still on 3oz, she has really bad reflux and a cows milk allergy. We’ve noticed if we increase to 4 she brings up most of the feed
Could it possibly be that they don't agree with the brand of formula, which formula are you using? Might be worth changing brands to see how you get on also could it be your bottles or the teat flow? I've not experienced this personally because both my babies were greedy when it came to their milk.
