Scared

Had my boy by emergency c-section and he ended up in Nicu for a bit. All fine now but terrified to get pregnant again … even though i’d like too. Anyone feels the same or got some wisdom to share? X

My daughter didn't end up in the NICU, but I also had an emergency c-section. Also went through abuse during pregnancy so I didn't get to enjoy it anyway. I really want more kids, but I'm scared to go through all of that again.

I had an emergency section with my son i didnt get to hold him right away either it was also during covid so my partner was sent away im due again in march and having another section not going to lie i am scared buti kind of know what to expect this time and what to do and what not to do x

I didn’t have a good labor and delivery experience either. How old is your first currently?

@Ariel 2.5 years old and you? X

Do not let past experiences ruin the beauty and gift of new ones, you may have regret but never knowing is worse.

8 months lol. I think you should be good to go(: you’ve had plenty of time to let your body heal and get back to some normalcy (:

I was in your situation. Emergency c section with my first pregnany. He came at 30 weeks and was in the NICU for. 36 days because he was preemie. Didn’t get to hold him the first 8 days. It was very traumatic. And I was in horrible pain from the C-section because it was an emergency and my doctor was out of town when he came early. But after about a year, I decided that I wanted him to have a sibling. We tried and it was a success. This time I opted for another C-section, but this time planned. It was night and day difference. She also ended up in NICU for a few days, but we were aware she would and we were way more prepared to handle the situation. This C-section was way better planned and my recovery time was like 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks. Just give it time, you might want to try again. Every pregnancy and labor is different. My second way was easier in my body and mind than my first.
