Medical professionals can never make up their bloody minds on these things and most of it is there own actual opinions not what's right for ur baby, I'm sorry u keep having crappy experiences I know exactly how u feel. At the end of the day ur babies happiness and growth is the number thing so go off ur babies cue. If they are still crying once they have finished there bottle offer more, a baby will only eat what they want to eat don't restrict them just because someone told u to or that's because what Google says because they don't no ur baby ur the best person with the best opinion in this case xx
Personally I don’t feel like I’m feeding him enough, he drains the bottle all the time and when I told the professionals this I got told that it’s the way I’m feeding him and he’s been overfed. But he doesn’t throw up after a feed so it’s clearly not overfeeding. I feel like they just don’t listen and have an attitude of they know your child better than you or bring it back to breastfeeding, which I also do but more for comfort or a top up when he needs it as it was draining ebf
My LB is 17.5lbs and we feed him 4 bottles in 24hrs - 2 bottles of 270ml and 2 bottles of 250ml and he is happy with that, we don t feel it is too much or not enough :)
Give ur more baby food if he wants it screw what they say they sound absolutely useless. I'm sorry ur going through that n dealing with morons xx
As long as he isn’t in pain and doing a pain/colic/reflux kind of cry after the feeds then feed more!! A baby will not drink it if they’re not hungry. My girl is 5 months and weighs about 17.5lb and drinking anywhere between 5oz and 8oz 5x a day. I offer 8oz on the feeds she’s started draining. She will not drink it if she’s full, she will turn her head away once she’s had enough. There’s no such thing as one size fits all. some babies are less hungry and drink less, some drink more, that’s normal because they’re not robots!!x
I would up the bottle amount, don’t forget you are their mum you know best!
Are you worried ur feeding him to much or to little? Is he crying during his feeds or after his feeds? Sorry the wording if this post is a little confusing. My baby is is 22 weeks and 16.3lbs he's on 5 bottles a day and I offer him 8oz(210ml) per bottle sometimes he drinks the whole thing sometimes he drinks 6-7oz(180-200ml) instead. I've been told a few professional I am "feeding him to much" but quite frankly it's so hard to overfeed a baby. He doesn't throw up he seems happy and satisfied and honestly that's all I care about. Feeding on websites and on tins is all guidelines non of it is a rule every baby is different. Alls that matters is they r getting the minimum amount of milk they should be having a day but it does not matter if they are getting a decent but more as long as u r not forcing ur baby to drink it, ur going of cues and they aren't vomiting everywhere after every bottle. Listen to ur gut u no ur baby if they want more give more if they are pushing it away then give less xx
