Formula question

My lo is 11mo today!🥰🥳🥹 He has 5-6oz at 7am, 11.30am, 3,30pm and 7.30pm. He has milk before solids. Which bottle to ditch and how? I'm also on last Kendamil2 tin and would like to start Kendamil3. So ditching a bottle and switching formula would likely happen at the same time. How much of Kendamil3 to give?

We only give a bottle before naps or bedtime (she typically has 2 naps) she will have an extra bottle on the odd day though xx

I'd ditch the first bottle of the day and then the 11.30am one in quick succession. Try giving solids before milk for those times instead? May naturally reduce his intake of milk. I'm on kendamil 2 as well but not planning to go up to 3 so can't advise.

I dropped 11 o’clock first as I was normally out and he wasn’t as interested when at a class. Some friends dropped 4 oclock and brought dinner earlier.

We stopped the late morning one 10:30 first and had no issues! So he’s on 3 a day now and when he turns one I will drop the 2pm one as well so just morning and night for a couple weeks and then I’ll be changing those last 2 of the day to cows milk. Eventually dropping the morning and then the one before bed last (likely a long way off tbh) xx

I don't really want to drop the morning bottle as he will start nursery soon, and I'd like to give him a bottle before we leave for work/nursery. I'm thinking to drop the 3.30 bottle 🤔

@Dragon mummy is recommend dropping whichever he drinks the least of, and also giving formula after meal times to xx

@Dragon mummy I think my boy is a bit greedy. He has breakfast at home, effectively 4oz formula in his porridge and then goes to nursery and has another breakfast of toast and weetabix there

Depending on your routine maybe you could drop both 11:30 and 3:30 and give one in between so 1:30 I know most nurseries do lunch at 11:30 and tea at 3:30 again depending on routine this is what works for my little one with the milk I’d probably just transitioning to whole milk maybe getting one more tub of Kendall 2 to last till his birthday which is when they recommend switching to actual milk x

My little girl is now 11 months and she used to have bottles at around 7,11,3 and 7 and I noticed she was drinking the 11ish bottle and it was lunch time at 11.30 ish (nursery routine) and didn’t want any of her lunch and she also wasn’t really fussed with her 3ish so I stretched her till her lunch and then gave her a bottle around 1/1.30 and that works perfect for us! (She is still in this routine now)! I give her food before the bottles to make sure she’s getting more used to food (I did struggle at first weaning her as she just didn’t want anything at all) I’ve been told I need to drop her 2nd bottle by the health visitor but I just know she’s not ready just yet! Over the next few weeks I plan on slowly introducing cows milk ready for when she is 1 x

HV suggested I stop the 2 daytime ones at 12months and move to water and a snack and then slowly switch to cows milk on the morning and evening bottles over a few weeks by changing the ratios.
