Having the same problem! Hopefully someone has a helpful tip
sticker chart and toy prizes helped my daughter!! (i know 2 different genders but hopefully your son would like the concept) we made a chart, asking to go potty, going pee, going poop, washing hands, pulling pants up, etc. and for everything she did in the bathroom she would get a sticker:) if she got 5 stickers in a row she would get a present! she really liked this concept and was the only way we got her potty trained during the day. (we still have an overnight pullup on as she still pees in bed at night) but daytime and naptime she is always in underwear. i hope this helps!! good luck😊
I had to watch for the cues and pick my kids and run with her. But first I had to make her be bare but until she would poop in the toilet because she had a phase where she was terrified of popping in the toilet so she would refuse to poop for a day or so but after a couple days she got used to popping on the toilet but then watching for her ques and running with her was the only thing that got her to stop because she realized she has to use the potty regardless.
