I was diagnosed last year, I was also scared when diagnosed but if you take your tablets daily (straight after you wake up then 30 mins until you can eat) you will be fine 😊 you will get regular blood tests now to decide which dose you should be on, and then yearly checks. Xx
Thank you both- do either of yourselves have a goitre as a result of this- so your neck is slightly enlarged where the thyroid is?
I don't x
I had a thyroidectomy 20 years ago and am classed as underactive. Pregnancy and being post partum has been a nightmare on TSH and T4 levels. Feel free to message if you need a chat x
I was diagnosed in 2017. I have been prescribed levothyroxine and have my bloods checked every 6 months-1 year. If I forget to take my tablets for a couple of days I start to feel really tired and a bit nauseated but other than that I wouldn't know any different x it can be life threatening if left untreated. I was diagnosed post brain surgery so not related to pregnancy so not sure about that x
