Nb bathing

How often do you guys bathe your babies? My daughter is 1 month and has very sensitive skin and a lot of baby acne all over her body. My bf and I are disagreeing because I say every other day and he says once a week is plenty. I don’t want to dry her out or anything but the pediatrician said it was okay to do it every day.

Once a week is enough especially if she has sensitive skin. Unless my babies had a big blowout, i would bath them once or twice a week. Babies dont sweat or get dirty like we do, no need for a bath everyday

@a mom okay do you lotion your baby every day or no??

I would bathe mine every day and lotion after every time. As it’s started to get colder we’ve gone to every other day but I’ve noticed he gets a lot grimier between baths now so I’m wanting to go back to every day lol. Trust your gut! The baby acne will go away soon 🤍

@Judy yes everyday regardless if they took a bath or not. Both my kids have very sensitive skin and eczema so i try to avoid the bath for as long as possible (within reason) and use moisturizer everyday to keep their skin hydrated or else their eczema gets really bad.

I did my newborns every 2-3 days, or if they got dirty for whatever reason. My daughter had baby acne and I used baby dove sensitive soap and lotion and it cleared up

I do twice a week and lotion my baby, he has dry skin like me unfortunately but I've started using CeraVe baby wash and it's really helped his skin not be so dry!

Every other day followed by coconut oil to moisture but since it's winter she has dry skin and GP has prescribed Epiderm emollient.

10 week old - 1 to 2 times a week. Babies skin produces the oils they need and washing them too often can infact dry their skin out, stripping them of natural oils.

Every day

Either is fine. I did once a week till my baby was 5 months. I read that if you do, do it everyday make it shorter baths most days with no soap and then longer baths with soap 1-2 times a week. Also baby acne is normal and goes away with time. The doctor told us to put some diaper cream on my baby’s neck to help with the saliva and milk that gets in the folds and to put lotion on his face.
