My health visitor has referred me to a support worker to help with my baby’s sleep. She barely sleeps at all and uses me as a pacifier. Has anyone got any experience of this? It’s an NHS service although I’ve never heard of it before. I’m worried asking for help may have made me vulnerable to be referred to social s...
Just wondering how far in advance everyone has booked their child into nursery? We’ve planned for our daughter to attend nursery from September 2026 so she’ll be just under 3 by 1 month, should I arrange to view a nursery and that now? Or is it way too early for that?
Hi, I’m planning on going back to work in September. Our daughter is going to nursery two days a week with the new 30 hours of funding. Does anyone know when I need to apply for this and how I do this 🙈 first time mum!
My little boy is ill a lot of the time, he goes 2 days a week. He goes about 60% of the time but not all the time. As UC pay 85% can they cancel if he doesn’t attend more than like 80% of the time???
I have a question regarding the funded hours (15 at the moment, 30 from September onwards). LB was born mid July, so we would be eligible for said funding in September. I have a friend who insists her LG will start nursery in July using the 15 hour funding. Mind you, LG was born mid September. How is that possible...
I think I know of a few. One that we sing frequently during bedtime is “sing a song of six pence”. While there isn’t an exact story behind it, I personally assumed the 4 and 20 references and the birds “baked” in a pie was weed related 😂
What do you sit for child care when both parents are working during the half terms?
Hey! Can anyone recommend a nursery around Litherland / Crosby / Aintree / Bootle?
If you know you are going back to work, have you registered for childcare? Just checking that I'm not alone.
Hi ladies, my daughter start daycare this year but I’m not happy with the centre she’s enrolled at so I’ve taken her out. Can anyone please recommend me a really good daycare centre in western Sydney?? Thank you 🙏🏽
Hello! My little one is starting daycare next month, right after she turns a year old. Financially we are at a point where I need to go back to work, but I am really struggling emotionally with this transition. How do you cope with this level of change? Any suggestions?
Staying home may not be an option for us, looking into daycares but super upset about it. Anyone have any positives??

So we all don’t get any of the free hours till September. But when do we have to apply for it? It says the term before so does that mean before April? Also the funded childcare account. I don’t fully understand how that works either. I’ve set it up today So is it right that I’ll pay the money in and it will go to t...
When did you apply for nursery?
Can anyone recommend a nursery in the Kirkby area or nearby? My little girl will be 1 in January, and I need to return to work. Thank you in advance! ❤️
How long did it take your little ones to settle in to nursery? She’s done settling sessions now and today she cried her eyes out going in and both nights and mornings she’s telling us she doesn’t want to go nursery 😟
Changing mat/pad recommendations? Want something for the nursery.
I’m wanting my son to go to nursery soon and he gets the 15 hours funded hours. Just curious if there is anything I have to pay for other than lunch? just so I can take that into account for my monthly budget. He’ll only go 2 days a week,9-3
Hi everyone, I need to come back soon to work, and I would like to ask if someone's knows if you need to work for a minimum period of time to get the 15 free childcare hours or you can get it on maternity leave. I looked at the website, but it is not clear to me. Thank you, everyone.
