My husband came with me, they asked him some questions too about anything in his family so seemed worthwhile him coming
My husband always comes with me
My husband came with me as a lot of the family medical history questions were also asked to him + I ended up fainting during the blood test so I was glad he was with me :) moving forward, he will join me In all appointments that involve any tests or scans but won't attend all midwife appointments
My husband came to most all the appointments with our first except some with the midwives when he was at work. He will be coming to the future appointments too:)
Nah mine didn’t come, wasn’t worth losing a day of work for. I found it boring myself 😂 x
I took mine and found it really helpful as they asked him some questions about his family background that I couldn't remember
My husband is coming with me to my booking appointment next week. I think it's nice that they are involved and find information out too. Definitely take him if he wants to go with you that's lovely 😍 x
My booking appointment was done over the phone but we filled in the badger pre booking questionnaire together. My husband came to my scans before but didn't come to midwife appointments. I didn't think it was necessary for him to take time off work to watch my pee be tested 😅 x
my partner came the first time with our son, he's starting at home with him this time round x
Think the very first appointment is definitely worth taking your partner as they do ask if the dad has any potential health issues on the family side but the other appointments are more about you and baby
It's definitely worth it to your booking appt as they'll ask about dad/dad's health. My partner came to all appts and scans but in my opinion it's only worth it for booking appt and scans x
My partner came with me and it was a great help. :)
I'll be 8 weeks on Wednesday and I'll be going on my own coz my partner works full time and he can't get the day off
@Kami what do they do at 1st appointment .. I forgot . I've had 2 kids but that's like 6 years ago.. so I can't remember now

@Rosie bridge they ask if you've been pregnant before, take a medical history of yourself and partner and whether you've had any losses and date of your last period
@Rosie bridge Urine and Blood test and loads of questions. About you, mental health, medical history, about your partner and his medical history. I think the appointment took 1h30.
I ended up having my booking appointment by phone ao I just did it alone, it was just alot of answering yes and no to health questions. They do ask about his family bur I knew the info so it wasn't an issue. He'll be coming to all the scans though
I went alone to booking in appointment as it’s only a few questions and bloods. I had mine come to 12 and 20 week scans (with my first) and nothing else but he’s self employed.
I’m planning to take mine x
