Difficulty conceiving

Did anyone try conceiving baby #1 for years (we tried for 9 years before concieving our first). She is now 3, and we have been trying for our second for several months now. Worried, we aren't going to be able to get pregnant again easily like people kept saying. Is there anything you did to help?

Assume you are using LH sticks and tracking your cycle? We had no problem conceiving our first who was born in July 2023 but the second baby has been a journey 🫠 had a MC at 8 weeks in Oct 2024 then went straight into a round of ivf in December 2024 which produced 3 abnormal embryos. Currently pregnant with a viability scan on Monday to see if there is a heartbeat. I turned 40 in Jan. My advice would be track your cycle, use LH strips and have a consult with a fertility doctor to understand your options and come up with some kind of gameplan. Don’t look at it month to month - look at it over the course of a period of time (ie you’d like to get pregnant ideally in the next 6 months). That change in mentality really took off the pressure.

My OB prescribed me Clomid I’m going to start in two days

Just come to say it’s not true at all it’ll be easier if you already have a child , maybe if you get pregnant after giving birth but that’s fair enough , my 2nd took a year with a miscarriage just before but my 1st was only 3/4 months

Been trying for no.2 for 10 months now. Took 4 with our first. It’s really hard when you really want something. We’ve just booked an appointment with our GP (it’s not for 2 months) so that if we haven’t conceived by then we can start the process of tests etc wishing lots of luck xx
