I find I keep taking it out on my husband and I feel horrible about it, I start therapy on Monday but it feels so far away😭
My answer was going to be therapy but I see you’re starting that soon. Is there something that brings you comfort? Mines is music and painting. Also a small exercise
Exercise and therapy. Check out a few books too. Hope the best for you!
Postpartum.net is a great resource! I wouldn’t leave this untreated or wait for it to pass. Your body is still recovery from pregnancy and birth. Self care is important 🙏🏾
I'm glad you're starting therapy, that's how I've dealt with mine. It really came down to the fact that i wasn't taking time to do me stuff, lack of sleep, and hormones from breastfeeding. Biggest thing was learning ways to get my body to go more towards the parasympathetic side vs being fight or flight all the time. So I started doing 4-7-8 breathing and 5-10 minutes of meditation a day. I then was able to start pelvic floor therapy and actually get back into lifting weights. I started doing that during nap time. Totally did a 180 for my rage. This might not be your cup of tea but I really enjoy this guy for meditation. It's usually 5-10 minutes and really resets me. https://open.spotify.com/show/3empO3taWpgwnry9cnHqjx?si=RCyc158uRcSfEa9pxpS8nA
Yes. Therapy and a psychiatrist. Only thing that helped me. Hang in there mama!
Walk. Drive to a calm nature like place if you have one close by or if you live in the country even better. I live in the country. Miles and miles and miles from anywhere and anyone I will just take off and start walking in whatever direction. Around the pond, in the woods, cow pasture, fields, creek beds, and sometimes down the road. I find that just being outside helps a lot. Good luck.
Throwing ice into a bathtub! I haven’t tried it but I threw a small plastic soccer ball into the tub repeatedly and it really helped!
I would drive alone park somewhere and just scream at the top of my lungs. also any type of exercise. I would also throw a pillow around and punch it and the bed or anything soft. Anything that helps release in a healthy way will help. Oh they have rage rooms too
