How do I get my son to use the potty in general? 😭

Practice practice practice. Get them used to sitting on a varietiy of potties! And get them very very comfortable. The first three days don’t expect anything just get them used to sitting for the duration of a song. Put on a specific potty song that you will listen and sing with then each time they’re on the potty. This helps to correlate potty time with the song. Give rewards either treats, smaller toys, marble jar, sticker chart, ect. Be very very consistent. Take them every 15-20 min the first few days. Be patient. Read thier body language and cues, if they’re not ready don’t push them!
We read books while we sit. We used a potty watch so it was an alarm telling him to go, not us. We did stickers and m&Ms for pee rewards but have found poop rewards need to be MUCH bigger, like actual toys 😭 it still took a month for him to start pooping in the potty. And he still won't pee or poop at school except in his nap time pullup. But making the potty fun at home has helped tremendously. I also had him tell me what shape he wanted to make with his pee and that oddly helped -- turned it into a challenge 😂
