Felt judged while out with baby

I was out and about with my son yesterday. We walked around and wandered into a few stores but I felt as if I was being judged for having my baby boy (6 months old, in his stroller, behaving nicely) with me. The first store, was not greeted at all but the people that came in after me were. The second store just kept giving me judgmental looks for struggling to get my stroller in through the door. Even Goodwill in the neighborhood I was in felt so.. not baby welcoming. Has anyone else felt judged like that? Am I overthinking it?

Yeah I felt that way too, I believe many in the past used strollers to help in stealing… which is not helpful to the rest of us. People judge too quickly in my opinion. My advice is just go about your one thing and greet them anyway with big smile on your face and stair back at them… they will soon feel uncomfortable. lol it’s actually fun at times.

You might be overthinking it. We go to our local target for retail therapy/starbucks, they’ve always been friendly. I avoid going places that give me bad vibes, or seem hostile. Have you considered finding different stores to shop?

Maybe they were judging but who cares. I walk my baby right on in even if she’s laughing loudly or babbling loudly. Shopping and hanging with my baby is a therapeutic time for me so if someone has an issue, they can deal with themselves. Change stores if you want or ignore them.
