Boy names similar to Sandra

We're due our second in June, and are currently discussing names. We've decided this time we want middle names that honour those who have helped raise us. My husband has no male figures in his life, and the only person he would want to honour is his Nan. Her name is Sandra, but we're struggling to find a way to make it work if we were to have a boy. Any suggestions? Names that are similar, but still obvious that it's honouring her?

I thought of Andre or apparently Sandra is shortened from Alessandra so you could go for that or Alexander

Cassandra sounds unisex too, Andrew

@Cerys my husband's middle name is Alexander, named after his dad that has never even acknowledged he exists. I quite like the other suggestions though

@Cerys Cassandra doesn't sound unisex; to me, it's clearly a girl's name.

Xander (shorten from Alexander or just stand alone) or Sandy?

@Alex personally I think a boy could have it too but changing it to Cassander is more male leading. Just as you’ve suggested sandy which a lot of people would argue is a female name 🤷🏽‍♀️
