My babys 9 weeks he jus got his 2 month shots yesterday. We havent taken him in public, but we dropped him off w his aunt that we trust for a few hrs so we can go out when he was 5 weeks
8 weeks ish, I was struggling with healing and was in so much pain from walking at home as it was x
Mine was about 6 weeks but don't live in fear!
We were at Walmart a week postpartum 😬
I was in the supermarket at 5 days - just head out when you feel comfortable, as long as you wash your hands and other people keep away it’s absolutely fine! X
After a couple of days
Went out and about walking a few days old, first trip to the supermarket less than a week old x
Less than week old, there is no reason to keep baby locked in the house
Day 2 we took a family dog walk and had lunch out! The sooner you do it the sooner you’ll be back to your normal self
Went for first walk at a week old and went to my mums at 2 weeks old
At 3 days old we were in a pub with all the family for Christmas dinner, and we were out and about from then. There’s no need to stay home unless you want to.
4 weeks after he was out of nicu 💙

The day after I got out of hospital I was mooching around x
Mine was 2 or 3 weeks old, I was feeling stir crazy so we all hopped in the car and got coffee and went to Walmart to just walk around and have a change of scenery since it was December and too cold to go to a park!
3 days old. I had an appointment and we needed to get a few bits so went shopping. Nobody came near her other than a little look. I also have a 3 year old so from about 2 weeks old had to take him to preschool 3 days a week. Maybe there's a difference between UK and US mums. In the UK you have midwife appointments every 5 days until at least 15 days old, in my case it was much more so there's no choice but to go out. Equally, I couldn't stay home for weeks on end
When my baby was 3days old
On the way home from hospital 🤣 then at 3 days old
My baby has older siblings so I had her out at playgrounds at a week old haha your baby will be fine! Momma needs out of the house!
Day 2 as we needed clothes
Discharged from the hospital and went straight to Walmart.
3 days 😅
Like 2 days old? I have no idea how people stay at home for so long!
I took my baby owl right around this time and it was just simply extracted to me and the baby carrier and took a walk around my apartment complex. Something simple just to get me at the house and show the baby . the new world they are in
I would say as long as you physically feel up to it go for it. Just build up to longer trips
We started going on walks in the neighborhood as soon as I was feeling up to it, which was about 4-ish weeks. I haven’t taken her to any indoor spaces yet though because I’m in an area where flu rates are still very high. So I’ll probably wait for flu season to pass and for her to get some vaccinations before I take her to more populated areas. I know what you mean about feeling that cabin fever though. Maybe if you can find time to just take a short outing yourself, that might help - even if it’s just you walking around the block on your own or driving to get a coffee or something. Those little breaks might help until you also feel good about taking your baby out with you. It’s helped me to think of everything as a little practice session - breaking things down into small little actions that can build into the activity I want to do. I think taking those kinds of small steps can really be a confidence builder 💜
2 weeks and we just took a short walk to the park at first and then went to a breast feeding appointment and a drop in session. I made an effort to practice using the car seat, packing stuff for leaving the house and putting the pram in and out of the car even for a short hop so it became second nature as soon as possible. I also keep a bag packed for going out, even if it’s necessary to have doubles of stuff so it’s easy to get out the door without forgetting things.
4/5 days x

About 6 days I think for the first social outing. Just for a walk on the beach. The day we registered his birth we took him to a restaurant and had lunch, he must have been less than 2 weeks old. Before that we had been to a few medical appointments
Less than 24 hours later we were at our toddlers gymnastics class 🤣
12 days old. Visited some family.
Wat younger than 7 weeks lol. Probably about 3 weeks ish
