Most baby porridge contains milk so not suitable just use regular rolled/flat oats for cereal isle and make sure they don't contain anything else beside oats. Don't give oats until 6 months tho as they shouldn't consume gluten until 6 months. In terms of puree we just use ellas kitchen single ingredient pouches and I've just been making my own I want my baby to try all fruit and veg alone first before using mixed veg/fruit packages or meals because cmpa babies r more prone to other allergies so it's safer to do single ingredients first. I started off with veg because apparently if u start of with sweet things first they don't take to veg very well x
Just buy normal porridge oats or semolina does work too. I tend to just blend the oats after cooking at first
I bought oatmeal for my dairy free baby and either cooked it with breast milk or water. She’s 8 months and now just having normal oats. Other than porridge I started off with veg purées and fruit after the first week. There are some Ella’s Kitchen dairy free pouches there a yougurt, rice pudding and porridge. Little Freddie do some dairy free yogurts too. We’ve now switched to blw. There’s some info on the Healthier Together website that my HV sent me https://www.what0-18.nhs.uk/professionals/paramedics/safety-netting-documents-parents/milk-free-diet-babies
Ready brek is milk free!
@Gabrielle have you been using ready brek? if so how has little one taken to it ? she’s constantly wanting more milk after a 9oz bottle and it’s impossible to keep her full😓
Baby can have normal porridge oats cooked with plant based milk once 6mo and showing all the signs of readiness. If you want it slightly smoother then blitz the dry oats in a blender a bit first. 'Baby porridge' is basically blitzed up oats and unnecessarily added stuff and 'baby rice' has zero nutritional value, I wouldn't bother with either especially for what the companies charge!
