DNA & Ancient DNA ect

I have decided to stop learning about my dna and my ancient ancestors ect. Mainly because: 1: Dads side of the family is not helpful at all so I don’t know what to do as far as my dads side of the family goes and knowing more about his side. 2: starting to believe that Dnagenics,yourdnaportal,adntro, mytrueancestry, genomelink is just lying to me

What were you trying to learn about your DNA/ancient ancestors? Did you do a DNA test to send in somewhere? I can relate, my dad wasn't in my life at all, so his side of the family is a big question mark. And my mom is Black which adds another layer to the challenges of navigating things

I did ancestry but I was trying to do my family tree for my dads side and every time I try to ask my dad or his mom questions they always just seem annoyed or irritated or don’t answer or something. I want to know more of my dad’s side of the family than who I already know

I know people who had success just using my ancestry... found code relatives that they didn't realize they had! Looking into it, they were able to back up the information to discover it is true! So i don't think that site lies. Can't speak to the others!
