Stitched wrong

I finally looked after having baby a few weeks ago. I'm in pieces. I ended up with multiple 2nd degree tears and an episiotomy. Where they have stitched it all back up, they've stitched my outer labia over the inner labia. Half my vulva is now covered. I hate how it looks, and it's so uncomfortable still. I feel broken, I can't even let my partner look as I feel so awful about it. And it's worse as I know it'll look like this forever now. Has anyone else had the same? Can I do anything to have it fixed?

If its causing you discomfort I would consult your gp and see about referral for repair. I had a similar issue after my first- but my issue was caused by the stitches coming out before I healed properly, so I ended up healing 'wrong' and having excess tissue grow. I had it all sorted under local anaesthetic.

I can't move the same as I have less skin etc. It's just so upsetting. My GP can't see me until my baby is 8 weeks old, which is 5 weeks away. I'll mention it then. Thank you

I’d try calling the GP again and push to get an appointment sooner - 5 weeks time is such a long time to wait x
