Does anyone else feel like the girls are over sexualized in the Macy’s Day Parade? There are families & children watching yet, there are so many girls dressed in skimpy clothing dancing provocatively. (& it’s freezing out!!!)

I feel like this is a form of grooming our children. With my knowledge of sex trafficking this just freaks me the fuck out. This behavior shouldn’t be encouraged or normalized. It just feels more like an invitation to have ourselves as women to be disrespected by disgusting creeps. This will be the last time I ever watch this for my daughter’s sake. I don’t want her to grow up not understanding how to respect & protect herself.

no idea what Macy's day parade is but it sounds like the typical American beauty pagents for children.

Also, I see grown older women who aren’t even performers shaking their ass on the floats, like come on now, there’s kids watching lady!! wtf!!! How clueless can you be? Fr??

@Riley It’s an annual parade in New York City & it’s fucking disgusting. They have a mixture of cute kids balloons and floats and then provocative dancers in skimpy clothing. Like really??? How are yall going to mix the strip club with kids floats? WTF 😡😡😡 I’m livid.

Voted by accident when scrolling. I have no idea what this is about but I don't think it's okay from what you have said.

@Riley it’s not specifically for children, it’s just a holiday parade with huge floats and singing and dancing

Lol never knew this! I always saw kiddie floats but I’m also not surprised. This generation is definitely pushing agendas to kids without shame.

The children are dressed in skimpy clothes ?

@Chloe it is a holiday parade which means families are watching and attending that why they have children’s floats & balloons. I feel like they shouldn’t mix provocative behavior while showcasing popular cartoon characters for kids. You don’t see strippers at the playground so why try to “casually” mix it at a family oriented holiday parade?

@Brittany Yes, all of the female dancers are dressed in skimpy clothes, one group was wearing extremely short skirts bending over flashing their asses and you could see their underwear part as if it was their actual underwear. It’s disgusting how American culture tries to groom children through the media in various ways including at a family holiday oriented event.

Kids were doing this?

I'm not sure the intent in this case is "groom our children," I think it's more about the fact that people who organize these events realize that sex sells. They treat it like any other event, superbowl half time, for example. It's thoughtless, but probably not malicious. Good for you though for being attentive to what your daughter is exposed to and how she views women, and women's bodies. She'll benefit from that far more than she'll be affected by unrealistic media representations, because she'll be raised to respect herself and her body, and other women'd bodies. 💜

It doesn’t bother me personally. I think people can dress how they want or dance how they want, and that doesn’t translate to whether or not they respect themselves. If you don’t want your kids to see it then you can watch a different channel.

I’m trying to find any clips of this and so far all I’m seeing is performers covered from head to toe or in rain covers

@Chloe You should learn about grooming & of course that’s why I’m not watching it anymore. 🙏

I just started watching the parade like 10 mins ago and I didn’t see any sexual things at all so far

@Melissa Idk girl, I’ve been watching Ally Carter (a sex trafficking victim) and learning a lot about grooming and it seems there’s a lot of it happening from children’s toys, kids movies, kids shows & public events, social media, music videos etc. I feel like a culture is trying to be created that doesn’t involve God & respect. From naive eyes I can see how maybe it seems harmless, but when you dig deeper and learn about grooming, sex trafficking, drill culture in rap music, Illuminati and satanic cults you can start to connect the peices of the puzzle and see how deeply it actually affects our psyche. Everything we feed our eyes and ears affect our subconscious and then our conscious. Things really do go that deep, but most of us don’t realize it. But thank you, I’m def not perfect, but I’m trying so hard to protect my daughter from the evils in this world.

For me it was the type of dancing they were doing, however I understand whatever gets viewers is what they do now a days 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️😔

@Brittany Oh wow, most of the dance groups I seen barely wore anything. The Spanish dancers had gorgeous long dresses & Muslim women obviously were covered but they weren’t dancing provocatively either.

Ya I haven’t watched the whole thing. I must have misunderstood the post. I thought you meant young girls were dressed like this.

@Chloe I meant more in the way of purposely sexualising kids gor entertainment purposes. but regardless of age ITS WINTER!! that's one way of catching a cold fast.

Illuminati and satanic cults... 🤣🤣🤣 Right, must be Jay-Z and Beyonce behind it all. I didn't realize this was a conspiracy theory thing. I'm out. 😅

Ive been watching it? What provocative ppl are you talking about? Cheerleaders have always wore things like that? But idk lol

I skipped through it and can't see any inappropriate dancing or outfits??

@Riley the only thing I seen was cheerleader outfits that you know are belly showing and short skirts but it didn’t show anything bad at all and the dancing on none was that bad so idk Cheerleaders always wore that stuff

@Patience I saw the cheerleaders and their skirts weren't even that short. it was finger length which follows the same rules as my secondary school uniform did in the uk. cheerleaders also need short skirts otherwise they'll get caught on stuff

@Riley yea that’s why I don’t understand why OP is so pressed because everything seems normal! I grew up watching this and I definitely never thought anything bad lol

Omg how did I miss the Illuminati comment. Was trying to give OP the benefit of the doubt but …. 😬

Are you drunk?

I agree there shouldn’t be provocative performances at this parade. But I haven’t seen any - do you have images or links to what you’re referring to? Short costumes aren’t inherently sexual - for example, ballerinas in the nutcracker wear revealing costumes but it’s not sexual, it’s appropriate for kids to see.

Oh noooooo not qanon pls

The more I'm reading the more I'm getting "how dare women have the freedom to dress in a way that I feel is too provocative" vibes from OP.
