Entertaining baby?

what is everyone doing to keep your 6/7 week old occupied during wake windows? my little girl just fusses and cries till she's either fed or she just falls back to sleep, we talk to her and she's started smiling but gets very fussy if she's not talked too and she doesn't like being put in her swing she just shouts and cries, just looking for ideas of what other people are doing at this age

I put baby in bouncer or carrier if he doesn’t want to be put down and do things I need to do eg cleaning, running round after my toddler, watch tv etc :-)

My little girl is 5 weeks and is the exact same, she liked her swing at first but now cries, she looses interest so quick x

Out for a walk, looking for patterns, showing black and white cards, singing songs chatting, bath, sensory time, tummy time

My son always liked the black and white cards, or we have a sensory projector and he used to love looking at all the lights. Also loved his crib mobile. My daughter is a little fussier and it’s a bit hit or miss but she also likes the cards and the projector. A play mat with things that hang down x

My boy is 5 weeks and is the same. We only get five minutes of each activity. Five minutes on the floor and we do a crinkly toy/rattle (this is sometimes accompanied by me talking very loudly to him) and then do another five to ten minutes and we play music, he really enjoys us singing and dancing. Then another five minutes of him just looking at himself in the mirror. He hates contrast cards, those he cries immediately… but all of this is in between the fussing, being picked up and being fed. And at some point he falls asleep and I wear him because he refuses to nap anywhere but on me during the day.

Do people do the play time before or after feeding?

I do music class and sensory class and my baby has did his first swimming class
