Are any of you mommas doing anything on the side to make extra money as a sahm? I’ve worked since I was 15 I’m 35 now. I’ve always had a steady job, good solid income and when I stopped working in May of 2023 to become a sahm I was happy with it. I still enjoy every single day with my 2 kids. One is 19 months and on...
I plan to go back to work in October part time but I am curious to know how long I would need to go back before I can leave. Is it three months? I’ve heard I would have to pay back my maternity money otherwise…. Is that true?
Any stay at home mums also struggling to keep their little one entertained through the week? My LO is now 18 months and I took an extended leave to look after him indefinitely rather than send him to nursery. But it's starting to feel quite isolating with other mother friends going back to work. I'm in the New Cross...

This is a bit of a random one! But basically me and my boyfriend are getting a house and I have saved like mad and covered my partners side of the deposit. This is because the house is in my name due to them having bad credit/being self employed, so our broker informed me he couldn’t send me the money to my bank (we...
Hi, I have been trying to negotiate part time hours with my work but they have got back to me saying they haven't been able to recruit a job share for a 3 day position. Their ultimatum is 4 days or nothing. I'm scared, I have to respond today and I'm still not 100% sure what to do. Just wondered if anyone has an...

Unfortunately I was made redundant from my job after 10 years. I was working 4 days a week so I could have a day with my LG and had a lot of flexibility on timings. I'm thinking of leaving my job but it says in my contract that I have to work 14 weeks. I have 10 weeks of annual leave to use and wondered if it counted as I can't really afford to pay the contractual maternity money back.
