Do you have a hope chest/memory box/cedar chest
I've heard it called many things(picture I comments what In referring to). It's a common thing in my area for a girl to receive as a special gift. For me i got mine when I was 13.

When I was infertile for 5+ years I had a hope chest which was more like a box, but not as a gift it was where I would put baby things in hope of using it one day. I like the idea of a chest that is passed down in generations.
I have one. I call it a blanket box, but keep more than blankets in it lol. My husband’s grandpa was really into wood working and made me when I was 18. My husband (bf at the time) and I had just got our first apartment so he also made us two bookshelves, a deacons bench, a tv stand and a jewelry box for my bedside table.
My mother has one! Looks a lot like the one in your photo ❤️ I’ve always wanted one
I have one. And I have my moms who passed many moons ago.

I inherited it from my mom, who inherited it from her grand mother (my great grandmother) and I’ll eventually pass it to my daughter. It holds old family photos, special items. I don’t know anyone else who has had one.
